Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Since coming back into the anxiety inducing environment, I thought I would be able to handle it seeing as I chose to come back but its hard.
My brother still doesn't wash his hands when coming out of the bathroom and I'm trying to radically accept it but it's a constant chronic anxiety trigger which builds up. It leads to ruminating frustration and anger towards the fact that he openly lies about washing his hands. He's supposed to be thoughtful and careing about the stress it causes me but if he was thoughtful and caring he would wash his hands and not lie about it.
On top of that, Knowing that the people who claim to be supporting me think that my problem is petty adds to the anxiety and dispare leading to the thoughts including 'well if I can't be grateful for the situation I'm in then why am I even alive'
I try to step away from those who cannot provide me with support but I feel so lonely. I'm trying to use coping mechanisms to get on with things but its only temporary and as soon as he's back in the f***ing bathroom the cycle starts all over again.
The only way of getting out of it is to move but I have nowhere to go.
How can I be grateful for an environemnet that promotes anxiety attacks, depression and wanting to kill myself.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.
Your brother is going to do what he does. Not your problem. You take care of you.
Lonely, then go out and do something outside on your own. Enjoy nature.
In other words, find things that give you joy. Take care of you!
for others and keep in your own lane.. peace!
Fact: My 3 foster children are continually making messes.
Feeling: It drives me up the proverbial walls.
Fact: The two year old's diaper stinks. Again.
Feeling: I'm sick of changing diapers.
There is not allot I can do to change those facts of my current day, but I can find ways to relieve and/or channel the feelings. Vent, vent, gnarl, gnash. . . There is no cure for feelings and they are constantly in motion. I takes 'em one round at a time.
But that is me. . .
Steadying support while you find what works for you, Pug.
Just keep your distance, if possible, and don't dwell on it. He's not going to change. Just do what you have to do to protect yourself even though it's hard living togehter.
Good luck. I hope you'll feel better soon.
I think finding support with the right people is important but it's not going to completely eliminate all the other people you may still have to deal with in our life or on a daily basis. As someone said your mental health is really your responsibility and not anyone else's. Not everyone is obligated to stop how they want to live or how they think and feel to make sure you're needs are met. They have a right to their own lives too.
I understand being frustrated and have had many crappy living situations and what not when I was younger, from bad roomates to bad neighborhoods to disgusting apartments, to sleeping on friend's couches. It can feel really bleak and unsettling. What helped me was constantly reminding myself it was temporary and writing out my exit plan, what it would take, all my options, my goals, etc, even if it was going to take a while to execute it. It gave me something positive to put my energy into and a sense of a light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope you can find away to navigate the situation.
