Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Today has been all around bad. But tonight is probably gonna be worse. I already had a horrible night yesterday I barely slept. My anxiety has been getting to me a lot lately. I am so stressed and I have no good idea why. Like yeah things have been a little hard but not awful. I just feel like I'm stuck or just really far away. Idk maybe I am depressed I am not sure though.
The only way I can calm myself is repetitive things. Repetitive thoughts and actions. But after a while it isn't calming any more it just drives me insane. I am scared and I don't know why. I've really been putting myself down. Thinking i will turn out to be an awful person even though I don't see how that could logically happen.
Dealing with a lot of scary thoughts that just won't go away. I can't even figure out why I am so anxious and stressed but I wish I could. Lake has been helping kind of but also not. With all the people coming in and out of here the last few days he's been just going off barking incredibly loud all the time. Making me even more anxious. Once they leave he should calm down though.
Idk what I am even typing anymore I have gone all spacey again I just want to sleep. I just was feeling really hopeless and scared and don't have anywhere else to turn right now. I will be better eventually I am sure. Don't know when but I hope it's soon.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Dunno. . . The big for sure is that my psychotic isolation has always been and solidly remains a tough hurdle to jump. Old habits die hard.
I also dunno if that has anything to do with your current dilemma or not. It's just what farted out my fingertips.
Continued support while you sort your own, Frog. I hope the venting helped.
I see that at the beginning of the day you are often thinking the worst, "catastrophizing" is what they call it sometimes. If you could write out at the beginning of the day, allll the things that are worrying you and making you anxious.
Then at the end of the day, before you go to bed, to go back to that same journal, and write out what the outcome was for each item... was it as bad as you thought, was it better, or worse, how did you handle it, how did you feel about accomplishing it, etc.
This is a form of therapy where you challenge your anticipatory thoughts and (usually!) see that they turned out being not as bad as you thought they would be.
This will give you confidence in facing these types of days, and fears, again.
Also, try to list 3 things each day that you are grateful for. This will help you to look more at the positives in your life than the negatives.
Focus on daily living activities and write. The more you write, you're "doing" something with those thoughts.
I do write things in a journal when I remember to I use the one on here and on my phone. It doesn't do much help to me though. It occasionally feels nice to vent it out but other than that it hasn't worked for me like others say it worked for them.
And I do try my best to challenge some of my anxieties and push through them. Actually every day I have to with going outside and being around the wasps. Sometimes the challenging of anxieties can help but sometimes it does nothing and a different approach is needed.
Thank you all for the helpful words though you guys are awesome I hope you're all doing good today.
I find things that are diversions and distractions but they are not cures.
I always recommend The Anxiety Guy to fellow anxiety sufferers. If you just google that, you will get tons of info. His youtube videos and podcasts are great and he has hundreds of them. He is the real deal having suffered from anxiety. He's also very active on all social media and has weekly live FB sessions.
Hope things get better for you!
