My husband Gareth yesterday said that he was looking for a one bedroom flat. SO I SAID to him dont you love me anymore and then he said no> a little later he slipped in the shower and we had to go up and rescue him all he has done is hurt his ankleandi toes. I trying to not focus on pain BUT I still have pinched nerves. I started yoga for sciatica pain which is fine and my job has a free program for like virtual PT and you do exercise tailored to you pain or issues. I am sorry, I know if he is truly cognitively healthy, this is really hurtful. I suspect though from how he is that this is not cognitive health. These behaviors can be typical of early or mid level of dementia. It is not just forgetting things. Dementia or cognitive decline can be doing these odd things like texting, sexting, with a stranger woman.
There should be an Alzheimer's association in your country. Alzheimers is just one of many types of dementia or cognitive decline. Ask for help or ask if they have online education. I ams seeing odd symptoms in my own husband since he had a TIA a year and half ago and had new medications added.
We may have to get the bank accounts out of his hands, the phone removed from him, etc. at some point in the future IF he is having brain decline.

i know my marriage seems to work that way. some of our 46 years together have been happier than others. most days i am glad i kept him. other days i want to go looking for a one bedroom flat. other days i think i'll go back to kissing toads in hopes that one of them will turn into my flawless prince charming.
