I have been diagnosed a very long time ago with chronic depression and anxiexty. I take so many pills, the depression is mostly under control, but the darn anxiety still comes through. I find it very disabling and hard to do my job, I take so many tums just to settle my stomach. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem, on my days off I am very anxious in the morning, when I am not on work days. I feel out right sick to my stomach. I also have an eating disorder, I wonder if that plays a part, thinking what I will do all day to be busy enough or that I just have tme to think. my life has been full of many stressors and is going through some now, I have a great pshcy/therapist who has literally saved my life many times. I feel so alone, peple don't want to hear about this anymore, I have not gone to many events with friends because of worrying about when I will be home. any advice? I just need some support I guess. thanks

I started with anxieyt at the age of 16, I am now 46, and 2 years ago I started to remember I was sexually abused from 8-12. The past 2 years I have been healing from the trauma of being sexually abused and my anxiety is almost gone. And, like you, meds were no longer working for my anxiety and that is because I had to deal with my past once and for all (once I remembered it.. ).
If you have a therapist now I would suggest you go digging around in your past again for the actual cause of the anxiety. Do you remember when it started? If so, most anxiety symptoms will show 2 to 3 years after the traumatic event.
Take care
Get hydrated, stay hydrated, practice breathing relaxing with your abdominal muscles on your off work days. These three things can be done at your pace, and they will provide you with the most natural relief to reduce the anxiety level from these natural events.
As lucky empathy mentions, once you get the basic anxiety within normal ranges, the hidden triggers often make their presence known. This means that some of the worst symptoms show up in same or other ways.
You are not alone dealing with this. Best wishes.
Take a deep breath, allow yourself time to vent, and be sure to drink plenty of water.
