Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

It took me a few tries to find the thing that started the levels going up and once I got that into a positive motion, it got a little easier to take the next step.
Best wishes!
However, I can relate to your anxiety giving you anxiety. Sometimes when I going to an event, or will be performing an activity that has previous given me anxiety my mind works overtime, and I hope that I don't get anxiety, and by thinking about it, sometimes that triggers it. It's definitely a thinking problem, or over thinking problem. I don't have an answer for you on how to stop this, but others may. But you are not alone!!
It's a warning or a sign. It's showing you: you have to face it because it's refusing to go away. So have the reaction, and then go to the doctor, and sit there, heart racing, lump in throat, and then tell the doctor - and it'll all be relaxing and downhill from there. :) Doctors are very used to anxiety stuff.
The doctor has probably fifty patients with similar problems right now, and will be quite comfortable with the issue. thanks to 20 yrs of advertising and changing attitudes, more people than ever before are admitting to anxiety and depression, and getting help.
Which is amazing. Because my life would still be a giant nightmare if I hadn't got help. :) So it's wonderful that we can do it without fear.
How have others coped?
Does anxiety make you feel like saying painful, hurting words to other people? I'm not saying that I'm miss perfect and I would never say such thing but there is a lot of pain going on in my life. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is hurting from emotions.
