Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to come to a mutual agreement with my anxiety. I hate it. I don't want to use it as a crutch, but it has (and still does) prevented me from doing so much. I get too overwhelmed, too fast, and then I self combust and quit. Every. Single. Time. I feel like my 36 years of life have been quite unproductive and unappealing. I recently had a severe meltdown that led to massive and continual anxiety that I am just now coming off of. I have been on blood pressure medcine for almost 10 years and have never had any issues like I have had within the last month. I was at level 3 hypertension for over a week and on stroke watch. After increased and added anxiety meds, and and increase in the existing and addtional bp med added, I am finally normal again. It scared me to death. If you could ever feel like a walking time bomb, that was the ideal situation. I am back in therapy. It is online and I love it! Betterhelp. I am also in the process of making lifestyle changes. I get really excited when I find material to read and love to do yoga and practice meditation. The problem I am having is trying to allot time in the day to do a few things to enjoy. I also have been trying to overload myself with things. I get super excited and optimistic, and then my mood does a 360 when it actually processes all that I am trying to take on. I shut down and get discouraged. This is a vicious cycle for me. There is no grey area with me, at all! It is all or nothing...with everything. I downloaded a habit tracker app that that will hopefully help me, but is scares me at the same time. You can always tell when my anxiety is completely through the roof if you look at my Pinterest and see how much stuff I have pinned in the course of an hour. It helps me to focus on something and relieves the anxiety a little. I am not ashamed to say that I am a weirdo. I actually embrace it. I hope all of my fellow support peeps are well and am sending you hugs and light!

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
The more you write and organize your words, thoughts, emotions, feelings, and sort out everything, the easier it will be to pick out one pattern to work at a time.
Stop, pause, breathe, choices. You can do this to improve your balance of calm naturally. Anxiety is natural. It is a helper and so you figure out what helps and use that to give you better balance.
Anxiety is a hard-wired part of my survival instinct. It exists to warn me of danger, whether real or perceived. It be the perceived threats which create the problems with me. When my hyper-vigilance psychosis kicks in, I can see threats in a child's laughter and my anxiety hormones kick in accordingly. As with my electro-mechanical security system, my anxiety works on the either/or toggle system. On or off. No intelligence or agreement required. My anxiety is only a monitor.
The place I seek mutual agreement is in the conditions which trigger the alarms. Worries. Unrealistic expectations. Trauma recall. Physical side effects such as sleep deprivation or forgetting to eat. Etc., etc., through the psycho smorgasbord of anxiety spin offs.
But that is me. . .
Gentle support while you find what works for you. Keep venting. Your own answers are in there.
