Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. I'm 65 years old and have lived in a personal care home for the past 3 years. Before that I had my own apartment for 10 years. When I moved to the personal care home I had to leave pretty much all my possessions and furniture behind. They were disposed of by the apartment complex. Now the personal care home is closing and all residents have to move. Much as I miss my apartment, I don't know if I can handle independent living at this point. At the same time, another personal care home would have restrictions, like not being able to eat in my room and a limit on how much clothing I can bring, with no room for storage. Also when I had my own apartment, I also had a car to get around. I lost my car because my social worker wouldn't let me move it out of the residents' parking area. It was towed and I couldn't pay the storage charges. Now that I'm on Social Security, there's no way I can afford another car. I haven't started packing yet because I know I have to sort through alot of clothes that no longer fit. I'm really scared about packing and moving. I have no family or friends for support. I wish I didn't have to do this. It's like I'm leaving behind all that is familiar and going to the unfamiliar. When I was younger, I moved numerous times and was OK with it. I also had the support of my parents, which I no longer have. It's like I want control of my life back, but I don't know how to get it.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!
