Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I feel a constant sense of anxiety as well. I'm so used to it and not sure if it will ever go away. Such is life I guess. My stomach is usually not too bad, however, it is the other end that affects me. Yup... I get constipated. Kind of weird but the better I'm feeling the, the more likely I am to become anxious and then not have a good poop. Nothing I seem to be able to control.
Had a quite unsatisfying movement this morning. I do know that all I can do is to get out of my head by doing for and or thinking of someone other than myself.
Hope u have a great day

I think stretching would help, and watching what you eat incase that is exacerbating it. Also there are a few before-bed CBT techniques you might want to try to reduce anxiety before sleep?
If this was me I would also need it said that physical symptoms don't justify an anxiety - aka if something hurts, it doesn't mean its reasoning is sound. Idk if that's helpful to you at all but I wish you luck!
Gentle empathy, TypeC. It hurts like a booger bear.
I agree that anxiety levels and Gastrointestinal functionality (or lack thereof) are intricately tied together.
I tend to find that my stomach becomes much more sensitive to the foods I consume when in high states of anxiety. I tend to lose my appetite and suffer from indigestion during these states.
I tend to stay away from high fat foods and meat products during these times. Easily digestible stuff helps for me.
From a physiological standpoint, this makes sense, because when in anxiety mode, your sympathetic nervous system takes over (fight or flight). Your parasympathetic system gets put on the back burner (rest and relax) thus making it much harder for your body to digest and eliminate food through the GI system.
Good luck.
Get hydrated. Stay hydrated. It took me several tries to get the hydration level within normal anxiety range so I didn't experience the acute symptoms of gut distress from anxiety.
Keep a journal using a stick figure to help you see what other sensations are happening.
Best wishes as you find your way to a better balance.
