Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I hate how covid is making my anxiety more... I am so fustrated and angry, i literally dont know what to do with such negative energy. What makes it worse, I feel so alone. Despite having a handful of people which I know / I am grateful for, yet anxiety just makes me feel so alone. despite my efforts. Had a stupid argument with the BF. its just anxiety over anxiety, and it turned awfully when he said 'I dont want to talk to anyone'.
Why did that feel like I was hit by a train? my anxiety doesnt let me think straight, it pushes me over until I feel Im screaming without any sound.
As anxiety makes me so alone, I suppose I just wanted to sit with someone in the sadness of it all but nope. Here I am, sitting alone. I guess it was too much to ask for... And Covid is there, creeping over waiting to pounce and say 'You are more alone'. It is very lonely.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I, too, feel like I've been hit by a train when someone tells me they don't want to talk about ^it^. Trying to ignore these social weirds is hitting my senses like an effort to ignore a tsunami. Is that holy trinity of "Mask, Distance and Sanitize" enough to sustain humanity?
"Very lonely" is as gross an understatement as the holy trinity of Coronovile.
Covid has been absolutely debilitating for many of us. Know that that are so many people in the same boat.....you are not alone!
I also understand the "hit by a train" feeling. I get it when my teenage kids are clearly stressed, but the response I get is "I don't want to talk about it". The thing I have to remember for myself in those situations is that that's about them, not me. They have to deal with their stress and anxiety in their way, and if that's not by talking to me about it then I have to accept that. I can still feel sad or hurt by it, but there is nothing for me to do about it to try and "fix" it or anything.
Sending good thoughts...
The big one of 1918 1919 ended without the resources we have today so its going to happen.
Having said that, i have always been an anxious person and its been hard these past several months adjusting to wearing a mask etc.
I have been reaching out to every resource that is available in order to recover.
As time passes i truly believe that we will all have better times ahead.
Forgive others and ask them for their forgiveness when you feel up to It.
You are not alone
A lot of people have reached their "quiet" over talking about the pandemic. It's for them, not about us.
Here's to finding the calm in the midst of the changes that are affecting everyone in unexpected ways.
I was scared and worried during the first week of lockdown but after I cried in my prayer and sang worship songs, I experienced peace. It was not an immediate answer but slowly, I had peace and comfort knowing that this too shall pass. I pray for all of us that we will stay strong and remain hopeful as we wait for this pandemic to end. Stay safe, God bless.
It does not help when one is met with the behavior that anxiety is not real. I was faced with that and was told that my health issues and subsequent anxiety/ panic attacks were "all in my head". This made me feel alone to suffer physically and mentally. A very dark, lonely place. But I had to, for my own well-being, try to climb out of the dark place. I prayed and still pray - a lot. I try to stop my irrational thoughts when they creep in and take a moment to clear my head and then talk to myself rationally, until my anxiety subsides. Some days are better than others, but I won't give up until I am free of this.
Feel free to vent anytime. You are never alone.
