Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
This very post is a good example of one of the things I do to help manage my stress. Hope it works for you, as well. At the very least, the sharing helps me feel a little less alone in the crowd.
Welcome aboard. Hope you find stabilizing companionship here.

Welcome to DS Anxiety Board.
Welcome to the group! When I was in deep sadness, I found comfort through sharing my feelings in one of the online groups. I also wrote in my journal. Listening to worship songs and sermons are a huge help for me to experience peace. I have a friend whom I trust and I can talk to her or message her whenever I need to.
Feel free to post. We are here for you. I hope you will be blessed by being here and it will help you to lessen your stress and anxiety. May God’s peace be upon you and you will stay strong.
Some things I've found to be helpful is taking cold showers and learning to control your breathing to help alleviate anxiety. If you don't like cold showers another thing that could help is trying different breathing techniques and meditating. I'm also an athlete so, I like to workout even if its just a small run or lift to get my mind of things.
I know opening up can be difficult but I believe when you do, you get a variety of perspectives and often understand you're not alone in your struggles. As for me, I often get anxiety when I have a lot going on my life. I try and remind myself that I can only do one thing at once, then I narrow down and prioritize what is most important to me at that time. I also reach out to my friends and family because they usually validate my feelings. Other coping mechanisms include working out, finding a hobby, relaxing (listening to my body), and being around others.
You're not alone! :)
I do a couple of things. I read about anxiety and it helps calm me.
I read posting on daily strength. It is so helpful knowing that I am not alone and other people get it. People in this site understand how an anxious person feels.
I have been seeing a therapist which has helped a lot.
Arfie says she tries to stay in the moment. Which helps me. But it is a challenge for me to do.
I do talk to fiends but I don’t want to wear them out.
What is a challenge for me is sometimes my anxiety is so high I need to talk to someone right now. My therapist can’t schedule me in , so I try these methods to help calm me down.
Glad you asked the question.
