Currently going through some health issues. 46 yr old female. Never really had any serious physical health problems and having SERIOUS anxiety from this. Thinking I'm dying, must be cancer, etc etc. I have had ultrasound, CT with contrast and bloodwork and all clear. Doc says gastritis/ulcer (joined that forum too!). Scope is forthcoming...that's what I'm afraid of, even though everything else was cleae. Anybody else have anxiety with doctors and medical issues?

Yup, I get major anxiety with doctors. I do better with the medical issues, but I do believe I qualify for full doctor phobia.
I, too, get allot of digestive tract ailments from my anxiety. Plying psychotherapy tools to the anxiety seems to get me allot further than doctor treatment of the physical symptoms.
What I've learned from working in the medical field for 20 years is that everyone has these fears. There are some things we can't seem to control pertaining to our health and that makes us feel vulnerable.
I tend to only think the best until I hear the worse, and even then I would seek a 2nd opinion. There have been so many advances in healthcare these days-good help is available.
Take some deep breaths and refuse to give into fear. I like doing the "If,then" exercise. "If" this happens, "then"I'll do this, etc. Plan each step you'll take and that helps the anxiety be manageable. You've got this!
