Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I’m going to the doctor in two days for anxiety symptoms; shaking, pounding heart, and breathing problems. I’m getting a physical test. My parents scheduled it.
Last week I told them I have problems with anxiety. They didn’t understand what it was, but they took the physical symptoms somewhat seriously, though dismissive at first. This week I mentioned wanting to buy a heart rate monitor, and they remembered and decided to take me to the doctor on Monday.
What am I even supposed to say? I’m scared of messing it up and not getting a proper diagnosis. I have depression too, but I’ve never been diagnosed with either. I’ve had both since I was about 10 or 11. Are such disorders biochemical in nature? Was it something I inherited?
I don’t even want to question if I really have anxiety/depression or not, because at this point it’s pretty unmistakable. I don’t know what I should expect out of this doctor’s visit. Medication? A diagnosis? I’m also getting a blood test. Cach, you mentioned that I should get tested for EB. Would this work?
Would the examiner even know about this stuff? I think I’m thinking into this too much. What do you guys think?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

This way you have something that you can use to help you answer your questions.
Exactly what do you want from the doctor's examination?
Be careful to approach this from the physical view. That is where your parents understand something is happening and they want to help.
Best wishes.
