Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. But when its just me and I've done all my duties as a mom and a wife. I like to do yoga that helps keep me calm I like doing paintings and poetry Andi like to walk my doggie.
There's no guarantee on not getting anxiety and depression bit there are ways to avoid it like you can't just lay in bed all day gotta keep active. I don't drink alcohol at all never did really which helps I also like to avoid caffeine as much as possible and eat a healthy diet.I use to be a heavy smoker up until 8 years ago. It use to calm me at the time I would think but in the long run it only caused more anxiety I do have to admit I wish I could be the type who could have a cigerette once in a great while but I can't do that because I'd wanna smoke the whole pack.
It's nice to meet you. That's great that you have a supportive family husband and kids. That's a plus. I to do yoga. Don't you just love it? It's so relaxing and stretching feels so good. Your body feels so relaxed afterwards. Plus it's good for the mind. Sounds nice to paint and write poetry. That's also very therapeutic. And yes walk my four legged baby is something I do every day. Something about being outside with the fresh air and beautiful nature around that is calming. No alcohol or coffee for me either. Eating a well balanced diet is a must and I try to drink a lot of water. It's good you stop smoking. Better for your lungs. Sounds like you have a lot of good things going on in your life and your doing all the right things. Keep up the good work. And thanks for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
I sent you a friend request.
So you dissociate. That helps with anxiety. It helps with coping and avoiding negative thoughts and feelings related to memories of traumatic events. Living in the present moment is what you need to do. The past is the past and you can't change it. And the future you can't predict. Staying present is a must. Not reflecting back to past events. Those are in the past and they need to be left there. Thanks for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
Yes sleeping to me is a must!!! If I don't get the proper sleep the next day I'm a grump and it's hard to function. My body feels tired. It does seem like my anxiety doesn't bother me when I'm rested. Eating good is a must. And I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. I love my bath too. Sometimes I will add some Epsom salts to help relax your muscles. It works well. I like to watch movies and I like comedy shows. I think laughing is good therapy. Talking to friends is very good too. I have a good support group that I talk to. Family and friends. I like a clean house too. And the less clutter I have the better I feel. It looks more clean to me. And not so much stuff just piling up. That bugs me. I like to be organized. Thank you my friend for all your great tips. Much love to the little man. Italianmomma4ever ❤️
So we like to cook and eat. Lol And just enjoying everday to the fullest. Italianmomma4ever
I like to listen to music too. I'll turn it on if I'm cleaning or cooking. Or if I'm out in the yard I will listen too it. When I'm driving I like to listen to it too. It kinda of distracts my anxiety when I'm driving. Not a freeway driver so I do more city driving. I haven't played crochet in so long. It's a lot of fun. Love playing with my dog and going for walks with her. Whatever works for you in that moment sounds good to me. Thanks for your comment. Xxxx Italianmomma4ever
There are other books out there that i’m going to read as well.
Right now i am listening to the wind blow the leaves down the street.
Fall is a time when summer activities are winding down and offers a quieter time.
I like to also do a lot of reading. Sometimes I download books on Audible and listen to them. I have read and listened to a lot of books on anxiety since that's what I have. They give you some good advice and great tips on how to cope. I haven't read that one your talking about. Is it a good book so far? I love fall. The leaves change colors and it's so beautiful. And it sounds very peaceful with the wind blowing the leaves all around. Well enjoy your reading. And you have to let me know how you like the book so far. Thank you for your comment. I love to meditate too. It calms your mind and keeps you focused. I use the You Tube ones. Feeling safe and secure will help ease the mind. You will be at peace with yourself knowing nothing is gonna happen. That's good. Having a good support team is very important to me. Family, friends are always there when I need to talk. Repeating affirmations are great. They are very powerful because they release you from the negativity, fear, worry and anxiety. Keep repeating them they will begin to take charge of your thoughts and change your pattern of thinking which in time will change your life. Good for you. You sound like your doing some great things.
