General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I was wondering if anyone out there endures the same issue that I do. It is a consistent pattern my anxiety is much higher in the morning when I wake up. I then go to the gym workout and I find that my anxiety is much lower the rest of the day. I go to bed with low anxiety, I sleep well, and if I wake in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom my anxiety is still very low. Once I wake up in the morning then the anxiety is much higher, I would say by a factor of 10. My anxiety is 10 times worse when I wake as compared to when I go to bed. It is a very consistent pattern happening almost every day. Is anyone experiencing the same thing??

it's much more likely that it's chemicals building up in your sleep. I would ask myself how my liver was actually.
Your liver gets rid of LOTS of toxins. If it's not doing so good, you might get a buildup.
remember occam's razor: the simplest explanation is the most likely. When you have to guess at what you think you might be thinking without knowing you're thinking it - that's too complicated.
my eyes, my stomach with start churning from anxiety so now I'm dropping weight because I'm having trouble eating. I take the same med in the pm as am, but at night seems more relaxed. Seeing a
doctor tomorrow to see if I can get him to do some labs. Bereavement and changes are issues. Hopefully get some answers.
I too used to wake up every morning with all of the bells and sirens going off in my body. First my heart would speed up...then my body would feel weird and week. My hands and body would shake like a leaf. Eating breakfast was impossible...food would just get stuck in my throat. Eating lunch wasn't any easier....I had no appetite at all. Scary thoughts plagued me like...how am I going to continue to live like this...even scarier...do I want to continue to live like this....terrifying to say the least.
Haha...I did say at the top there that this would be a positive story...right? So let me get to the good part.
This is when everything turned around for me. I began to learn what I was doing to purpetuate this whole morning terror that I was in. You heard me right....... what "I" was doing to perpetuate these feelings!!!
Turns out, it is nothing more then a habit...in this particular case it is a habit called a trigger. See your brain is actually working spot on perfect. At one point in your past you woke up and had a scary thought that turned on your sympathetic nervous system (the system responsible for fight or flight). Once your body felt these horrible feelings from your fight or flight turning on...especially when there is no visable danger like a tiger staring down on you.....,,your brain took over and started creating this moment to be dangerous. That's all it is!!! Now every time you wake up your wonderful protective brain alerts you to the danger that you programmed into it on that very first morning that this all began. That's all this is folks!!!!
OK....so great, we know what turns it on...BUT...how do we turn it off???
Breath baby!!!! Breathing calmly, slowly and compassionately will turn on the parasympathetic nervous system (the system responsible for calm and healing).
I did a 12 week how to overcome anxiety in a positive manner here on DS a while back . Friend me if interested.
Truly my best to you all!
You are not alone in this!
Good to have Adventure post ... those twelve week guides are a great way to improve well-being!
I have tried to friend you a couple of times as I am interested in your 12 week how to overcome anxiety in a positive manner. I have not received any response back from you. I was wondering if anyone out there is friends with her and is communicating with her??
I am truly sorry. I had a very busy but wonderful weekend with a family wedding.
Thank you Mid for notifying me and posting Week One. You are so thoughtful.
My best to you all!!!
I believe my anxiety is similar to yours. I am out of a job and currently looking for a new job. I have a couple of "irons in the fire" so to speak, however nothing concrete. The process of finding a job is very slow which I believe adds to my anxiety. I am hoping that the TMS treatments which I believe I'll be starting on Friday will help eliminate or at least east the anxiety while I'm looking for a new job. I haven't been out of work as long as you, only the last 6 weeks for me but it still affects my self-worth and self-esteem which raises my anxiety. Good luck wit your job hunting.
