Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Been feeling kind of anxious and out of sorts for most of the day today. It's my b-day, and I guess I had expectations for what that meant, but I'm not really sure what those expectations were, so that's had me kind of disoriented and confused for much of the day.
It's been a cold, gray, snowy day today as well, and that tends to affect my mood.
Finally, I'm taking my daughter up tomorrow to try and teach her to snowboard, and I'm both excited and anxious about that. I'm look forward to spending the time with her, and I think it will be a lot of fun, but it's the first trip up of the year and I've gotten accustomed to not really going out into the world.
With all that, I've been struggling to stay present. I find myself spinning off into "what if's", and that's never useful. Freaking anxiety... It really needs to piss off and leave me alone.

Yea, those what-if's can rain on any parade. Doom Sayer City, here I come. A little weird that helped me past the what-if's was to declare I.F. to be an acronym for "Idiot Factor." Somehow it helps me to reframe that particular psycho tick when I remind myself to "Get the I.F. out of ^it^."
Continued support while you find what works for you.
What if everything was just as it is supposed to be and you had a wonderful time, despite the I.F. fest?
Tonight has actually turned out quite nice. Maybe not exactly what was originally "planned", but really nice all the same. And I'm sure tomorrow will be great too, however it ends up going. Especially if I can manage to stay out of my head.
Enjoy the adventure tomorrow and cherish the moments-it's fun to try something new (and it will feel new since you've not been doing much traveling!).
Here's to finding the best in today!
I'm nervous and excited about today, but in a "normal" way. I'm trying to be expectation-free about how today is going to go. After all, today is not about me riding, it's about my daughter learning and spending time with her.. That's where today's fun is going to come from.
