Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

So i don't go all the time, i mean i usually go once or twice a week and thats a normal range, but when i'm on my period i only usually go once a week, say i went to the bathroom on a saturday, because of all the hormones and stuff like that i probably won't be very likely to go again until the next friday or saturday, i drink enough water and my diet is probably not the best for bowel movements. But i don't have a lot of options (no money/stuff like that) Anyway, i went the other day and i'm on my period right now, It was saturday that i went and i expected not to have to go until the next saturday but i'm feeling cramps/gas that is completely unrelated to my period/menstrual cycle. Last night i was feeling fine and great but today i felt like i haven't gone to the bathroom in over a week. I wasn't expecting to be feeling like this until my cycle was over, not right in the middle of the week.
Do you think anxiety/stress may be the culprit? even if i don't have anything pinned down that could be a stressor, maybe it's something in the back of my mind but it's still having a profound effect on my body.
Any advice? Anyone else ever go through that? Where your bowel movements are usually pretty set and then they change around like that? It's weird and it's worrying me, unfortunately one of my anxiety triggers is stomach aches/fear of painful bowel movements.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

I hate to brag, but I consider myself an expert in bowel issues. lol I have been pregnant 4 out of the last 5 years and I know every food on earth that could possibly make you gassy, crampy, constipated or have frequent bowel movements.
It could be stress, but if you have eaten anything different lately, let me know what it was and I will tell you if it could be a culprit! :)
In the early days of this, I thought it was a stomach bug causing the symptoms, and the symptoms increased my anxiety. Now I think the cause in most cases was the anxiety.
My anxiety is usually worse around the time of my period too.
I hope I have made sense here. Just know that you are not alone. If the symptoms do not improve in a couple days, you may want to ease your mind, and see a doctor.
Good Luck to you!
Being on cycle adds to the fun, too.
One suggestion I will make is to massage your abdomen area every day, to increase the natural flow of blood through the whole area.
That often helps the physical symptoms decrease and then you feel better.
I would journal your food, your movements, and your feelings to help you answer your questions.
Hope you feel better soon!
