Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I recently met someone who I seem to get along with very well, and we had a really good hangout a little while back. After that, though, she's starting to show signs of being very high maintenance and touchy. For example: she'd gotten my name wrong twice, I gently reminded her what my name was, then she got upset when someone with speech challenges said her name 'wrong'. Strange that she doesn't see the parallel... And now, it seems she's not able to log into her email to check something, but she's emailing me about it >.> These aren't big things yet, but I feel like they're just the tip of the iceberg. What are your guys' thoughts? Should I work towards keeping this relationship going? Or should I let it die in its infancy? I don't really have friends due to social anxiety, but I'd much rather sit at home than deal wtih someone who I have to walk on eggshells around. I've done that enough in my life to know it's not worth it.
(Oh, and part of the email problem is that it's something I have to solve...)

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

First of all - if it's romantic interests you have in this woman...then you are evaluating her on different ways. Perhaps if you don't want to lead her on, and you know you don't like her behavior already, just let it go.
But if you are just wanting to make a new friend and have some socializing come out of it, then maybe don't judge her so harshly...maybe give her a few more chances.
If her behavior continues, you can always distance yourself and call it a day.
I have great friends that I have drifted from, didn't have to have a reason for it. Sometimes it happens.
But maybe take it as an opportunity to be around someone who makes you "uncomfortable" so that anyone else you meet afterwards wouldn't be so stressful or challenging.
I think it is great that you made an effort already with this person and I think you should give it another chance and try to look at her positives (she was funny, I like her style, she's interesting, etc) and not focus just on her negatives. Because we all have positives and negatives. Hope it works out for you!
Oh, and it wasn't romantic! lol, just wanted to say. I've got a husband, and though we're a pinch poly, it would have to be the *right* person.
