No it doesn't look good. Unfortunately he was forced into this it really wasn't his choice - so with no accceptance it's going to be an uproad battle.

It is horrible to see someone lashing out in that way because I can imagine the pain inside that leads to that and it is not a pleasant thing. Hopefully something will change for him.

i was listening to his interview he did yesterday. the man has lost his mind. his rants were classic coke head delusional mind. he was trying to come across so intelligent by using such obscure words and to a "normal" person, he sounds clinically insane. i was actually finding humor in it and was glad it wasn't me this time that sounded like such an asshole. i mean seriously...who calls thomas jefferson a pussy? lmao! what a nut!

He said he's made $5 billion for the network so far? It takes a lot of courage for the big network boss to not enable him. For every recovery, there has to be a bottom. He's on his way to recovery, if he's lucky.

Here in Detroit we have Tigers' Miguel Cabrera relaxing with a few during the off-season. It seems to me the Tigers' management is sweeping this latest arrest away as clean as possible - His huge batting average is the bottom line. Our season is built around that guy. This is the 2nd incident in 2 years for Mr. Cabrera. At this rate, recovery is a long way off.

Sheen is probably correct about the 5% . There's no real way to determine the actual number. I think his view is wrong, though. AA doesn't fail, but many who try it as a means to sobriety, fail. The last estimate I saw indicated that fewer than 8% of alcoholics who attempt to become sober, do not.

He's a train wreck, and it's really sad to watch.

I hope I'm not right but I truly think he's going to die. Doesn't it just show that money doesn't buy happiness? In fact, for we of the fragile ego's, it's really bad because the fame and money are all about EXTERNAL validation. - and external validation comes and goes - it's the INTERNAL we need to work on.

Forget the studios being responsible, or stopping being enablers, as far back as Judy Garland's youth, she was was such a valuable commoditity and they wanting to pump oit movies when she was a child, they gave her uppers to get up in the mornings and downers to get her to sleep at night, and everything in between. This setting her up for a truly awful life of misery and trauma. While again, she was treated like a goddess and she was just flesh and bones like you and me. Poor thing. How could she possiblty know who loverd her for HER??

Same with Elvis - he got whetever drugs he liked. And it killed him at 42 years of age. terrible. Great wealth and fame, adulation, but who REALLY loves me (especially after his mother died)?

And yes, as others have said, being a media superstar is a two edged sworrd. People like Charlie Sheen court the media for their career, and maybe ego gratification. But when
their lives turn to shit they say all this stuff, like Mel Gibson, in the media, on record for all time. I'm so glad I was an anonymous drunk drunk and now a sober one. It makes me shiver to think each and every move (and of course Twitter and Facebook make it worse) that every one of my sick, demoralising, degrading moments drunk would mean my crap is broadcast around the world.

Selfish self centered thinking brought to a whole new level. I feel badly for all the other cast members and crew who are going to lose their jobs because of his arrogance.Of course that never entered his mind. For the network to turn their back on a billion dollar business based the actions of a alcoholic addict has got to be a sign. They just don't do things like that. Perhaps Charlie and Lindsay should hook up. No one should die alone.I really do feel bad that Charlie won't ever be "one of us".

I do agree Sheen is on his way more quickly to a death from drugs and alcohol....but think about this....he was in the bahamas when he made this rant....he crossed international lines of course had he been carrying any drugs and been caught he could do some serious out of the country time in the slam....which would in my humble opinion be something good for mr sheen....of course he is rich and like roman polanski can flee the country indicting him illegally and never face the music....

I think he is in a crash and burn mode and there will be no survivors....he is headed to the maker of the universe....
