Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
He says he's sober....so if he is....he's got delusional fantasies about his little "porn family"....that is just so bizarre to me. Sounds like he's a porn addict as well as other issues. yup, drinking & drugging are not his only issues. I pray he gets help. And Rick, he may very well just be a jerk! A jerk who needs assistance never the less...
That was what I thought in my drinking days. I am so much nicer now.
There are a ton of A-holes in recovery. HELLO!!!!
This shit don't care who you are,, he will fall.
I saw a post on another website that summed up my feelings on this perfectly...
"It is not for you to judge the journey of anothers' soul. It is for you to decide who YOU are, not who another has been or has failed to be."
We should be sending him positive thoughts and prayers not passing judgment on his behavior. A little compassion.
On viewing that (I haven't seen much of his interviews to date), I do think he might suffer from mental illness as well as the addictions - it takes one to know one (ie, me, I'm Dual Diagnosis).
But Man was he slamming AA - in every way possible. Of course he has every right to his opinion on that but there are many people around the world who would still think his opinion is worth something - not seeing how sick he is and just seeing his superstar status and that giving him credibility. So the sad thing is it may direct people away from AA - when it could have saved their lives. He banged on about the 20 years he's spent trying back and forth with AA and thus it doesn't work, however question remains Charlie - did you completely and utterly commit yourself to a course of action and go to any lengths to stay sober?? Me thinks not.
Grateful for those who greeted me without judgement. If CS comes knocking here, reaches out to help with a desire to stop drinking, that's good enough for me. I hope he does.
I agree - judge not lest ye be judged. I'm not worried about his sobriety. I care about my own and the people I am trying to help. You have to be willing, or it won't work. He doesn't really seem all that willing. :)
He says he stopped by blinking an eye. Just like that. His Tiger Blood and super-human brain power. Hey, if he's got all that, and it works, more power to him. I know that I don't have those things. I'm a mere mortal. And happy to be one too. It is good to know what you are.
Bipolar mania.......
Egads, he needs to get hospitalized-it is unreal no one will intervene.
