Let's say someone came to this forum and told Sheen's story as if it were his/her own. I don't think we'd be so fast to make about that poster the same remarks we are making about Sheen. The man is ill, whether or not he knows it. I'm sorry I said he was a 'train wreck', as I have no business making that kind of comment about someone in his shoes.

I didn't spiral out of control as Sheen has, but I had my own slide and its consequences to contend with.

Let's just wish him the best.

People like CS don't travel with drugs, they have it waiting for them when they arrive.

Any addict that is not in recovery or sobriety maintenance is a sad thing to watch -

i know others on the show are losing their jobs, and that's not cool, but the saddest of all of this is his children - you know their mom can only keep them away from the media exposure for so long and what sorta example is he setting for his children, he's losing his life, his career, his family won't be far behind and ultimately he will lose his children too -

But he like all other addicts in denial - until they accept the fact that they have a problem and choose to do something about - will continue to live in misery - it's just people like CS and other enteratainers make misery look glamorous.

He's lost his damn mind, I used to like him but God he sounds like the cockiest S.O.B. I've ever heard. He sure has a high opinion of himself.....and he's saying terrible things about the producer (or whatever he is) of the show.

What a jerk and yes, I'm scared for him. Especially with this new stuff about starting a porn family and how he went to the Bahamas with 2 porn stars he calls his "goddesses".....

I used to think he was relatively normal but addiction sure has a strong hold on him, if he doesn't straighten up STAT, I'm afraid he's the next one out unfortunately....

It's very sad, but he needs to quit running his damn mouth because the past few days, he's sounded more foolish and seriously deranged than I've ever heard from him before. What a pity.....

He sounds like he has one of the two, or both. I cannot believe this is shocking to anyone. I have never had the high on myself he is expressing-but folks, this is a cover for some very deep illness or he is high as hell.

Come on! This is so typical-I actually will just say that I fell perhaps even further in the spiral of insanity at the end of my addiction career. I was a stark raving lunatic. Not grandiose, but wanting rather to kill myself. I do think once his high wears off-he won't be too grandiose. Keep watching America.

Yes, I think it's obvious that his problem is not "just" addiction to alcohol or drugs. I believe he has mental issues as well and it appears to be more apparent in the past week. Whether he's hidden it well in the past or it's just gotten worse, or he's been treated for mental health and has stopped taking prescribed meds, he's definitely on the edge and in deep trouble if he doesn't get some help and really, really fast. It's very sad.....

He sounds to me like he is in denial......as many of us were/are, but thank God, we aren't/weren't in the public spotlight!! He doesn't seem to think he has a problem at all or think he needs help from anyone for anything and that's what's sad...

i always shake my head at those have it made....live a simple life, give back what was thrust upon you.. a simple path LOL

so much talent in life is wasted by those assuming they are above the reality of the gutter.

Hope CS truly looks in the mirror and see's what everyone else can see. Hope he takes steps to turn his life around for himself and his kids. Hope he reaches out for help, wherever that is, even here.

You said it Ino. I think the $2million a week is just more grist to his addiction as it's beyond what any TV star has been paid before and it clearly isn't buying him happiness - it feeds his ego, but not his self esteem. How is he going to reach his rock bottom?? Maybe her DOES need a "Robert Downey Jr" as in bigtime jail and then clearly, a committment and action to stay sober and clean to save his life - it doesn't seem anything else will.

There are endless studies that show that if a person's basic needs are met as in clean water and sanitation, food, shelter, medical care, education, employment, infrastructure etc, as well as a srong social support network, there is no more happiness to be gained above from that - ie into the stratospheric money coming to Charlie.

KK the exception to what your saying , IMO, is that all the money, fame, women have a price. Famous people sell their privacy, he put himself and his addictions in the spotlight, no one else.
However, I do wonder, if along with his alcoholism part of this isn't spoiled rich kid syndrome?
Apparently when he played Charlie Harper, he was just playing himself.

Definitely Rick. I see it in the rooms of AA. Some people act like an arsehole when they are drinking and drugging, but they get sober, do the steps and they basically have the temperament of a normal person - maybe even a lick better as we are taught to treat people decently, extend a hand of friendship and support in and out of the rooms of AA etc.

But there are also just nasty people, even sober. Just as in the wider soectrum of human nature.

It's impossible to tell with Charkie Sheen though, until he gets sober and clean.

If I was in his position during my worst days, I never would've survived.

He's pathetic now, but best wishes that he can get turned around.
