What really makes me sad is that he cannot see how he is being encouraged on and used by the media and that the media is being encouraged on by us.

Pat I guess I'm so dull that I thoughted all this here "gossip" was discourse and even humor, actual communication. Even some of that thar compassion.

Yes, I do think the media is exploiting his sickness (even though he has cultivated a relationship with them in the past), and I for one must admit that I'm engaging in controversy even looking at the interviews and that's about gratification on my part. It's both sad and compelling at the same time. But I do really hope and pray he gets sober, clean and gets psych help. Unfortunately I think the only thing that would help is jail like Robert Downey Jr, but even he busted following his jail time - even though I think he's sober and clean now (as far as I know).

The show is still being aired here -every goddam night and i wonder whether that will eventually get pulled off the air here and in the States - probably not - the media moguls know that his public displayes of illness make the rating even better.

I saw his interview on GMA and yeah, he did look like shit! Looked like he had aged 15 years in the past few months. HOwever he took a drug test and was negative, but he's got "connections" so who knows. I actually pray for him...I feel bad for his family. It's such a sad waste of talent and he's alienating everyone who genuinely cares about his well being it sounds like.....kinda like "we" do huh?

In retrospect all he's ever done is play... himself! think about it.

I really don't understand this whole thread. Here is a guy that has addiction and mental issues what KK described. This disease doesn't discriminate rich or poor celebrity or not. He is what me, and you was like out in the madness, some just a little different but the same. Hell I don't know about you but I have heard many say the same thing about AA or any other program because of totally denial.
Many here come to judge someone that's just like you and me that might not make it because of the disease of addiction.
I hope the guy makes it and doesn't become another statistic.

The bottum line is he tested clean on his blood test, no way to alter blood tests they did it right there, I do know. Unless he had that paid off somehow to.
This is a clear cut outline on what drugs/ alcohol can do to you.
At one month clean his brain is like mass confusion. 10 different teleprompters flashing through his eyeballs.
Might we even consider that he might plain fucking crazy.

And he'd be welcome Lew. I know the people I surrounded myself with were keeping me in a sick environment. The ones who offered me 'truth in friendship' were the ones I ran from. Hope he sorts out the leeches from the helping hand.

I spoke about this subject in my class last night-thanks ds-I used some of your ideas. You are all so diverse-did you ever think your ideas would be presented by this whacky chick in her psych class? My students liked it btw.
