How long have you guys dealt with the problem -- through your whole childhood and adult life, or have you had some "dry" years in between? Has your frequency of wetting increased or decreased over the years, and if so, what do you think caused the change(s)?
I grew up wetting the bed every night until I was about 12, and after that it reduced dramatically pretty quickly, but I still had a few odd accidents a year throughout my teen years -- usually when I was really over-tired or had a lot to drink. Then when I was in college the problem got worse for me (I think due to a combination of stress, poor sleep habits, and caffeine intake) to the point where I was wetting anywhere between once and several times a week. After I finished with college and grad school things settled back down for me a bit, and I'm able most of the time now to wake up when my bladder is full before things get too critical. I've always had a small bladder and have had to wake up and get to the bathroom during the night in order to stay dry -- so if I'm really tired or stressed and sleeping more soundly than usual, it's still an accident waiting to happen, even to this day.
How about you guys -- what ups and downs have you experienced with this problem? Do you still hold out hope to become completely "dry" in the future, or have you resigned yourselves to trying to do the best you can with knowing it will probably never completely stop? That's still a hard one for me; I'd still really like to stop for good, but I know the odds aren't really good for me "outgrowing" anything at this stage.

In 2013 I had an accident resulting in spinal injury at the base of my neck with paralysis from there down, spasticity (muscle contractions and spasms) and double incontinence. Both my anus and my urethra have been left closed except with manual intervention. I hardly ever pass urine via the usual route (I have a suprapubic catheter passing directly into my bladder about 2 inches below my...

I can now say there may be a simple solution for you...and me, since I have a moderate case of incontinence. Read my earlier message below, which will explain why I'm optimistic for you. Best wishes. D.
"Since my prostatectomy eight years ago, my incontinence remains at the moderate to severe level. For over two years I have been developing a device, a silicone sleeve, that now may be comfortably worn all day (and all night), requires no removal or adjustments before or after urinating, and allows me to be active, including jogging or working in the yard. I need volunteers willing to test my product and complete a survey questionnaire after 30 days or so. The number one priority is comfort, followed by convenience and performance. I was not one to use devices that required removal and reset during restroom stops nor devices which greatly impeded my lifestyle, hence my search for something better than anything presently available. BTW, I use it every day and so it's effectiveness is not in question. Before I commit to production and marketing, I'd like to gain positive support from an unbiased group.
