Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
Fingers crossed and prayers for bro and all struggling with aml

For those of you just heading into transplant, I will say that the actual transplant itself is a non event, like getting blood. The aftermath for my brother was rough with mouth and throat issues, diarrhea, and slow recovery of numbers. But as promised, once the numbers came up, recovery was around the corner.
Will he get a BMT soon? I am nervous about the early days out. He does have to check in at the hospital once a week, I know that much.
Thanks for all the support and prayers.
