  Just a word of hope for all of us in pain over incarcerated kids....the squeaky wheel does indeed get the oil!  After months of attempting to obtain visitation privileges and getting my son transferred to a facility closer to us ( current facility is 300 miles away) among other concerns, I finally reached out to the right person who forwarded my email to the prison administrator.  She in turn immediately responded. If anyone here has a child in the NC system I will gladly furnish info!  I...

  So my son in prison was caught with drugs and is serving 45 days in "the hole."   Drugs are what got him there in the first place. I'm trying so hard to be a good mom but I am so angry!  I feel used....the commissary money I send him monthly.....the lawyer bills......his bailbondsman......I am spending a ton of money on his bills and am barely getting by......yet I keep on doing it.
