Status: I haven't been on for awhile & had to reactivate acct. :) Been crazy busy!
About Me
I have Hashimoto\'s Disease and have been undergoing treatment for about 2 years. My thyroid is finally responding. I am still learning more and more about it. I was also diagnosed with narcolepsy a little over a year ago but just started treating it July 2, 2014 with Xyrem. Before that I would occasionally take Adderall. Mostly I was just tired all the time or sleeping and struggling to get through the day at work --counting the minutes until I could go home and sleep. I had hoped my tiredness would improve when my thyroid responded to treatment. It did but only a little bit. I didn\'t want to accept that I have Narcolepsy. My sleep doctor said if I have it, Xyrem will help and if I don\'t it will not help. Well I guess it is time to accept I have Narcolepsy. With Xyrem I\'m also waking up without brain fog. I can actually think about something other than when will I get to sleep next.
