Status: Years of being too afraid to leave the house and only when emergency if at all. Now here's an emergency of my very own, medical and debilitatingly painful, potentially lethal, in nature. And why can't I go?
About Me
I was diagnosed in 2007 with P.T.S.D. with Agoraphobia, S.A.D., G.A.D., and dissociative disorder. I was in treatment until around 2012 I did medication with talk therapy as well as C.B.T. including exposure therapy. Unsuccessfully. In 2014 my psychiatry specialist informed me that I was also experiencing symptoms of early onset dementia. I made the decision to ween myself off of the many powerful medications I was on to preserve cognitive function for as long as possible.I still believe that was the best decision for me. However, by the end of 2015 I was effectively housebound and have been ever since.
