  Hello.   I am almost 37.5 years old and a woman.   I am concerned that I have been potentially developing polymyositis over the past 3-4 weeks.   I got an ANA test back just now, and it was blessingly negative.  However, the C-Reactive Protein test was 15 mg/L, and over 10 I think is considered clinically significant.   The ESR was not high, it was 12.   I have had very weak shoulders for the past 3-4 weeks.  Both shoulders make it impossible for me to put my hands over my head. ...

  A thymectomy in the future?

  Hello, today the doctor said for sure i have myasthensia gravis.    Now, he said he is looking for a tumor on the thymus gland and wants me to get a thymectomy if there is a tumor on it.    I was wondering if anybody here has had a thymectomy and if it helped you and how much it helped your myasthensia gravis?I am doing intensive research.   Thanks.

  Hello, a few days ago i was diagnosed with probably myasthenia gravis by a neurologist and was wondering if anybody could help me find book titles to buy or website links to explore about the condition?Thanks.

  Hello, a few days ago i saw a new neurologist and he said i most likely have Myasthenia gravis due to my severe weakness and fatigue and droopy eyeball and some other stuff.I am not completely devasted only because i looked up this condition before i went to the neurologist.   My main concern right now is to learn more about MG and whatnot.Do you know of any books that are good to read about myasthenia gravis?    Do you know of any websites i can find more information on?   Thank you,Lauren
