About Me
Before CFS I had a 30 year career as an IT Manager, National Senior Technical Support Specialist on mainframe and satellite systems, and a Field Engineer. My job was 55-70 hrs per week plus I would hang out with my son twice a week, I led 3 separate men's groups through church and had a couple of days for rest or friendships. I played tennis regularly, loved to take vacations with my best friend of 30 years doing multi-state motorcycle adventures or alpine lake fishing trips or week-long backpacking adventures in the Sierras or Colorado Rockies. My life was maybe "too" full, but all of it great stuff. I felt the onset start slowly back in 2014; I would feel sick after tennis and the recovery times were getting weirdly long, It began with lots of 3 and 4 day weekends in bed recovering from "flu like symptoms" that just became harder and harder to "sleep off". My first crash was in 2016, 6 weeks out of work. A trip to a lake alone with a hammock and a fishing pole did the trick and I was good for a couple more years. Still every day harder and harder but getting through it. Then my ultimate crash in August 2018. I've now been out of work for 9 months with no change at all, in fact the brain stuff has been getting harder. I don't know where this ends but I want off this train!!!!
