  I’ve been exercising every day for 17 straight days.  I mark each day on a calendar with a star, like a kid getting a star.  Today, it’s 2:30 pm and I haven’t exercised. Usually I exercise first thing in the morning. My adult son is very encouraging about me “not breaking the chain.”  I’m tempted not to exercise and to lie about it to him.  Even thinking about it makes me anxious and feeling guilty.  That’s actually a good thing, I think, because I’m not just lying without...

  I’ve been doing pretty well, not lying the last two weeks. Then today, I was talking to one of my colleagues from work. I told her about a meeting I was in.  I completely made up the dialogue and I relayed it to her like it was real. It was only later today before I go to bed that I realized I had lied about it. That I had extended the story and made things up. It’s quite scary to me that I would lie to her and at the time not even think of it as a lie.  I need to constantly be thinking...

  Ive lived a successful life by many outside measures, but I’ve lied to everyone about so much for more than 50 years. Recently, the lies caught up to me.  I was lying to two women and in a relationship with both for a lengthy period.  After being discovered, I admitted my lies.  I’ve been admitting everything to my long time counselor.  I lied to her too.
