  I just got the call about my surgery date.  They tried to set it for October 2, but I pushed for later in October so I can go on vacation after I graduate September 22.  So, my official date is October 16, and I have my final pre-op appoinment on October 9.  I'm super excited, and a little nervous.

  I received an email from my doctor today that I am completely cleared for surgery.  I'm supposed to contacted within the next 10 business days, by the scheduler to set a surgery date.  My surgery goal weight was 360, I'm currently sitting at 350 so I'm feeling pretty good about things.  I'm going to ask for a mid-October date, that will allow me to take a much needed vacation after graduation at the end of September.  I'm hoping to be in the 330-320 lb. range by my surgery date.Before you...

  New guy here.  I'm a 44 year old ready for VGS surgery.  I've met with all my doctors, and was given a pre-op weight loss goal of 30 lb.  I've dropped 27.1 in the last 5 weeks, so I guess it's getting pretty serious.  Despite being morbidly obese, 6' and 358 currently, I'm in incredibly good health.  No weight related diseases, yet.  I'm a master at losing weight, but even better at gaining it.  Four years ago I went from 442 lb. to 320 lb. with proper diet and exercise, but then school...
