  Yesteday, I saw a neurologist and had to really press to get an appointment.  She performed a series of physical tests and we had a good discussion.  She prescribed Mestinon and suggested I wait a week after tapering off Medrol (prednisone equiv.) to check my symptoms, before starting Mestinon.  I only had the ocular MG symptons (drooping eyelid and double vision) and both are gone.  My anti–acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody (Ab) test proved positive for MG.As my MG symptons...

  I was diagnosed having ocular myasthemia gravis a couple of weeks ago and have a couple month wait to see a neurologist to get a base line on the blood test results for something I can't remember.  So far, mild double vision and ptosis of my right eye that is becoming annoying and a concern about safe driving.  I did discover one useful thing to do to cope...When watchin TV, I use a band-aid to hold my eyelid up and allows me to blink easily.
