Hello Quen1966. I have been recently diagnosed. Even prior to, this was one of my most frustrating symptoms. I typically experience this just prior to a flare up :(

I have issues with this as well, especially when I am tired. I have trouble sometimes as well with being able to verbalize the thought in my head. I know what I want to say and just can't get it out or I just can't remember a word. It is very frustrating and kind of scary at the same time.

I wonder if it is related to high CO2 levels? That can cause confusion. My confusion definitely seems better since my Mestinon dose Increase last month.

I had some problems when I took prednisone. I don't know if MG itself would affect thinking, but I know our meds can have these side effects. I had mood things, fog, and unclear thinking that I attributed to prednisone. It was a good drug to get my MG under control, but it messes with many different systems in our body.
I just got through cataract surgery a month ago and the second eye Friday. The doctor said that cataracts are speeded along by prednisone. I am 70, so not totally unexpected anyway.

Hi ladyredbird, trying to verbalize a thought OMG Ihad been having that problem for the last year and chalked it up to turning 50 and being surgically thrown into menopause. I had gotten to the point of struggling with verbalizing my ideas and thoughts and started writing everything down to assist me. A year later I was dx with MG. I really feel there may be a connection of the symptoms to MG. I really hope research is done on this topic by the MG foundation.

No foggy brain yet...diagnosed several weeks ago. However, selling eyelids and a flare up of urticaria during the past two days did inhibit my ability to concentrate.

Hello, I have been struggling with the mushy brain for quite a while now. I cannot remember anything. I have trouble concentrating, reading or even working on a project. It is very frustrating and it will make you feel helpless at times. DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN. STICK WITH IT. YOU WILL OVERCOME. GOOD LUCK, AL

It is so good to hear from other people with this disease. Yes. (diagnosed July 2016). I have noticed this as well. I continue to work full time in an IT job and travel nearly every week. I think it is caused by the medication. It comes and goes and seems to improve when I am more active (as opposed to sitting). I just fight through it and it does not seem to get worse.

I have had some of this same issues. Newly diagnose. I started with 1/2 pill mestinon then went to whole pill 2x day. Day ungodly pain. Skipped one whole pill at night next mornin only 1/2. I was a mess so depressed crying any one had this Please reply
