6 months
Well, the day has come...when Cassi committed suicide February 2nd I could not imagine 6 months later...how I would survive...but I have, one day at a time, one foot ahead of the other and here I am. Half a year without the physical presence of my child. I am not where I would like to be but I am much further along than I ever believed I could be. Her birthday is coming up in 3 weeks...August 20th. She would have been 23. Send me love sisters, positive energy, as much as possible.

Lots of love, prayers & positive energy coming your way!!! I got through Charlie\'s 6th months angel day & his birthday, 2 days apart! Gina- you CAN get through this, even if you don\'t think so right now. Hang in there!
Warmest of Hugs,
Donna
Gina, I will definitely be sending you love, prayers & positive energy as you approach your daughter\'s birthday. This journey is so difficult and you are doing as well as you possibly can by taking one day at a time and putting one foot in front of the other. The minutes turn into days, the days into weeks and weeks into months and then the years without the physical presence of our children. As time goes on we learn not how to live without them but how to keep our kids with us. May the days ahead be gentle. Love to you and Cassi, Linda
Oh Honey you are so right one day at a time some times one second at a time ....stay strong sister!!!Love you! gretch
Our fearr of \"the\" day is always worst than the experience. We have such active imganinations. Yes, it\'s bad enough, and we do survive, and the years do go by and help our hearts find relief.
I am so sorry that you lost your precisous daughter to her moment of despair. Very hard to accept, I stand with you, by your side. Strength to strength. Love, Abby
The fear was definitely worse than the day..I felt buffered by God and beautiful things happened. After all it is our birthday to celebrate as well. We did do the birthing. Lifting you up, Lauri
Sending positive energy. You are doing great Gina.
You are so right. One day at a time; one foot in front of the other.
Always with you on this journey.
Love and hugs,
Marlene
Hugs, Gina! You are doing good. Amidst your pain, I read signs of positivity and hope. And you have the \"plan\" correct....baby steps, one at a time. And keep moving forward, even if sometimes the path takes you a few steps behind. My son, Michael, would have had his 39th birthday on August 16th. Just try to remember that numbers on a calendar are just that and that you will miss Cassi no more on Aug. 20th, or today for that matter, than you do any other day of the year! Michael was born and died on a Saturday. One year, his Angel Day fell on Thanksgiving day. Which day am I supposed to be sadder on? None is the answer.
Peace, my friend.
{{{HUGS}}} My 50th birthday was the 6 month mark for me - needless to say I didn\'t celebrate. One foot in front of the other each and every day is all any of us can do. Walking beside you all the way. Hugs, ann
sending tons of positive energy your way. i am so sorry for your loss.
Dear sister of the heart sending you lots of love & positive energy. I really believe that the moms here help us survive & even heal. I didn\'t join FMO until 5 years after losing my sons. I honestly believe that when I came here, all the love & support from these moms helped me more in one year than the 5 yrs prior to coming here. We continue on this journey with you Gina, holding your hand & understanding your broken heart. Peace & love......Vicki
You did it!!! Continued success on this journey. We will do this together for sure. Hugs, Kathy
Sending love and strength. This is a heck of a bad month for you, so take strength in those who love and support you and understand your pain. Thinking of you and Cassi. Love, Laura
Sending you love and positive energy dear Gina! I know it\'s hard but you are taking it one day at a time as needed.
In one of my daily meditation readings this morning I read that we can learn to look back but not stare. It sort of resonated with me.
Gina, I will light a candle in honor of Cassi\'s birthday on the 20th.
Love and Peace,
Diane
You are making it one step and one day at a time. Each birthday that passes will be managed by you in differant ways, we are all here for you no matter what.

Gina this path is so hard and you are still so new on your journey. Sending tight hugs and know that it will get easier to bear as time goes on though it will always be a part of you but a lighter burden.
Tight Tight hugs,
Terry
