6 months
Well, the day has come...when Cassi committed suicide February 2nd I could not imagine 6 months later...how I would survive...but I have, one day at a time, one foot ahead of the other and here I am. Half a year without the physical presence of my child. I am not where I would like to be but I am much further along than I ever believed I could be. Her birthday is coming up in 3 weeks...August 20th. She would have been 23. Send me love sisters, positive energy, as much as possible.

Oh Sweetie, there is only one way to do this horrible journey that we have all here been forced on just Like you said you said one day at a time. I am so proud of you. I remember when it was six months when our Jeff was gone, I was still so mad and cried all the time and just kept thinking I was going to get some kind of answer to Why. Of course there are no answers. Somehow we manage one day at a time and make ourselves get out of bed and try and put on a face to certain people that really don\'t want to hear our child\'s names anymore because it makes them uncomfortable. Really, I wanted to say \"Just get the H--L away from me. But somehow I held my tongue and cried and cried while I was alone. Hoping that your precious baby girl\'s birthday will be gentle on you. Know that we are all here for you and we all love you. Nell
Together, always dear Gina. You are doing so much better than I did, at 6 months. I have a black and white sign on my computer desk. It says \"Put your big girl panties on and deal with it.\" Can\'t tell you how many times that little sign inspired me to get out of bed. One day at a time, my friend and breathe....
((((HUGS))))....Julia
Sending you love, especially as you get closer to the first birthday w/o your daughter. It\'s hard but, as you say, we survive, and eventually learn to live again, by taking a day at a time, the bad ones and the not so bad ones. Warm hugs, Linda
Gentle hugs to you, dearest Gina! Your precious Cassi still lives on in your heart, giving you the love and courage to take another baby step every day. Thinking of you, my dear friend! xxx
