Women who Love too Much Community Group
WHEN BEING IN LOVE, MEANS BEING IN PAIN... This group is to help women through the journey of realizing they can love themselves. To help realize that they are capable of having a happy, healthy, whole relationship and break the cycle of abuse and heartache from loving emotionally unavailable men.
We can dissect it till were blue in the face, the fact of the matter is...it shouldn't be so hard.
personally, I owe it to myself and my son to be with someone who wants to be with us. I left my son's father because he was abusive and a terrible influence to my son...what kind of example would I be setting for him by staying with yet another man who can't step up to the plate? No way!
Here's something that struck me on my way home from work just now. I love music. Everything i listen to has some sort of memory attached to it. Since my break up with my son's father, 3 years ago, I couldn't listen to Marc Anthony (his spanish stuff) because it reminded me so much of my ex. (he's a musician and used to play alot of his stuff). So I buried that cd so far i couldn't even accidentally find it. Up until not too long ago, I couldn't bear listening to it although I've been over him for about 2 years. It still made me very sentimental. Anyhow, all thsi to say that I put it on today and it did NOTHING for me. Thsi one particular song came on and I was singing along for a few minutes until I realized it was OUR song. Unreal. My emotional connection to it had somehow vanished. And I was ridiculously addicted to this guy for 4 years! I lived with him, he is the father of my son, and I'm subjected to seeing him regularly.
Ladies, we will get through AND over this. I refuse to be a slave to one little shit of a person. He does not define me, he does not control me, he does govern my well being. PERIOD
