I just read that Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant...they also stated the girls plans on marrying the father...she's only 17!!!! and because she is against abortion she seems to be marrying off a 17 year old??? a see disaster in that marriage....YIKES.

Yes Palins daughter is pregnant and getting married. Would one rather her have and abortion and kill the baby? The other options are the girl raises the child alone without help from the father that helped get her pregnant. It is sad because I have seen this too often with teens and the guy that got them pregnant abandons the girl and the baby. Then to me the best scenario would be to have the baby and the man who fathered him own up to his part by marrying her and take care of the baby.

Yes at that young age it may not work but at least they are making the effort to do the best they can for the child. Any marriage can end up a disaster no matter what age. I have seen teens have better marriages than some older couples that should know better how a marriage works. I don't think this should matter as far as Palin being elected as the VP. Just because Palinâ??s daughter messed up and got pregnant so young doesn't make her a bad mom like many people say when this situating happens.

See the hypocrisy?? Typical in politics. Daughter is getting married only because it reflects better on mom as a politician. It goes to show why daughter is in this predicament...mom chooses work over taking care and loving her child. I don't mean that all daughters under age that gets preg is due to mom not making children a prority. But the fact that the daughter is getting married...NOW COME ON!!!I'm not saing Palin is a bad mom. Her daughter probably got the best schools, healthcare and child care that we can ever dream of. But mom obviously wasn't present throughout her political career. You can't be both...have a high profile and demanding job and spend an appropriate amount of time with your children. Just my opinion and I could be way off base but When you things take priority over your children it helps no one....(I guess it has helped Palin...she is running mate!!!haha)

Politicians are all the same...they promise and tell us what we want to hear...then when they're voted in....disaster!! Doesn't matter what country they're from...they're all the same...full of crap.

I myself have never seen any teenage marriage worked....and I've known quite a few....however I know there may be some out there that did work...I just don't know any. As far as women making their own choices....I say let the choice be up to each individual woman what they do with their bodies. I had a friend who was raped and became pregnant because of it...and yes she did have an abortion...the rape was trauma enough...she didn't ask to be a rape victim or to get pregnant...I sure as hell don't want no politican telling me what to do...it's like they are forcing their views and nobody else's views matter.....same goes with these holier than thou smoking police....it's all sickening.

Well Margaret Thatcher always cooked dinner for her husband. So I do think that being a politician does not mean you can not remain a wife or mother. She was married to him for over 50 years. It is heartbreaking how she is now grief stricken. I think she never was that upset about being outvoted, but more so about being widowed.

Either way.... We will see history being made. Either the first female vice president. Or the first black president. Who wins and how they do is yet to be seen. But I say this has given our younger generation an opportunity to truly believe that they can be anything they wish to be.

I don't know Palin much. Here daughter being pregnant at 17? This is a real life situation not glossed over for the sake of votes. It was funny that Jay Leno said last night that - Did you hear Gov. Palin's daughter, Juno, is pregnant? That just took all the power out of making it a big deal for me.
As far as McCains choice of Palin? Was he doing that to pick up all the Hillary votes now that she's not in the runnin"g? Who's to say.

One thing for sure, it's an interesting & exciting run for the White House. I love it!

I am an Independant Voter, but I do like McCaine's running mate Gov Sarah Palin, I listened to her speak last night and she had alot of good points. My Oldest Son is 23yrs.old and is serving in the Army and He went over to Iraq and might have to go back soon. After His Baby Girl is born.
So this is hard for me to chose who I want to vote for. Who to believe.
People will say what they want you to hear, that is how it always is.

I was impressed with Palins speech last night accepting the VP position. I thought she held herself very well. It humored me some of the comments she mentioned about Obama and one being his lack of experience less than hers. Lol So I guess we either get a Pres with no experience or a VP with no experience and they both can give a dam good speech. lol How ironic. Hilary always had my vote. She was the whole package. What did everyone else think of your speech?

Palin and her husband were able to provide for their children financially. But money doesnâ??t make a good mom or guarantee your teen wonâ??t make mistakes. It would be nice if we all could have had the opportunity money can provide when young. Palin also stated that if her or her husband couldnâ??t watch the children that close relatives helped out. No Nanny. She did choose to work but seems to be able to manage that with being a mother. The 4 month old may have less time with her if McCain wins the election. I personally donâ??t think it necessarily a bad thing for a woman to go for a career of her own if her husband helps support her with that and the duties of taking care of the children than just bringing home the bacon. Come on the days of being barefoot in the kitchen and just having babies is long gone. Most families these days have to have both parents working to survive. I donâ??t think it fair to Palin or her daughter to say the daughter is getting married for political reasons. We donâ??t know if that was the daughter and the young mans decision. Yes possibly her momâ??s status was considered and certainly the baby being born out of wed lock was a major factor. I doubt this was a one night stand on the daughter and young mans part.

I have never watched the ndc or the rnc but this time I watched both because I really don't like either candidate. I am a registered democrat but this time I think I am going to have to go with mccain but I don't think that either will do a great job. I think we are in for a tax hike either way we go. With obama higher prices on everything and with mccain we will end up paying for all the oil drilling he plans on doing. Either way It is going to be a rough 4 years. One thing I do like about this election is either way it goes we will make history for the 1st time.
