We become accustom to our new life until the hammer of memories hit! We are reminded of what it was like; that old feeling of time past sinks deep into our hearts, and life pauses for a moment to remember the lovethat wonderful love we shared! Thank goodness! Blessings to you, Pete. I hope the biscuits were yummy and you and your son enjoyed the morning breakfast. TJ
Sending you Big Hugs.....Martha
I am so sorry about your wife. It is true smells, actions, routines, music, can all trigger a memory and then the realization that it is gone for us. It is very hard. Sending you hugs and prayers.

All we can do during what I love what Mrs. Jr's calls them "landmimes" rather than triggers is ask the Lord to sustain us. Because we know we have to face these moments we can't hide from every memory and event... Much love to you all....Lisa
I has been almost 10 months for me, and there is not a day that goes by, that I don't have a remembrance of Greg. I can just be looking at the kitchen door, and picture him.
When I cook dinner, especially something I know he loved, it is both with a smile and a tear.
I think these triggers will happen perhaps for the rest of our lives. I am so sorry it gave you pain again. I'm glad that your son was there for you, and you didn't have to go that alone.
BTW Biscuits and gravy does it for ME too.
