Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I look around at all we have done and the trips we took and just dont know how I am going to do this.
Wishing you peace . . .
I don't know if any of this will help. When I was reading your post it made me think of all the changes in my life since the day I lost him. I still cry, still feel it cannot be happening to us, but it did. I hope every day that he is proud of the person I've become and know when it's my time, he will be there waiting.
Take care of you, that's the best thing you can do to honor your loved one's memory.
It breaks my heart, too... We had so little time.
All I can see are years alone and sadness. His birthday was yesterday and it was simply awful. I am not an extrovert and tend to stay to myself. The group I go to only meets twice a month and there is nothing else around for 30-40 miles which I cannot do.
The pain is just so deep and unrelenting, I feel as though I am being swallowed up in it.
I feel like I just have one pity party after another, but this pain is REAL.....I just can't see my way thru it, I really can't. I am sorry to sound like a broken record.
Hugs,
Val
That's what it is for... The broken.
