Take care, Jeff
Wishing you peace . . .
I have remarried, so wear my new husband's rings on my left hand. However, I recently had my wedding rings from Cliff resized and now wear them on my right hand, along with a band from my new husband. That part of it may sound crazy, but it feels right. They are both a part of me and of my life.
If you're crazy, then I must be completely looney!
Love and Hugs,
Martha
I have seen signs, things I cannot explain that I truly feel is his presence. I think about that movie, "Ghost" and wonder if that's what it's like for them, to be right there with us, trying to communicate. I really do believe I have felt him with me.
Silly things, like one of his nicknames was bunny nose or wabbit nose. He had a beautiful big nose and I thought it so endearing. The other day, a wild rabbit showed up on my front lawn, watching me as I drank the last shot of Rocky's special bourbon as a toast to him. That darn rabbit actually came up ON my porch and watched me. It was afterward when I realized, "hey! That could have been Rocky! Maybe he wanted that last shot of bourbon!" I have to laugh at these things. That wild bunny came back and just laid in the yard like he owned it. Don't know how else to explain it.
I'm so glad I have found this site and all of you. It helps to know I'm not alone.

Sometimes what I have to say to him is not very nice. I realize now that it was his stroke living with me and not truly him. He had had a serious of mini-strokes of which I was totally unaware of. But, it definitely explains his weird behavior months before he passed.
Since he refused to see the doctor it wouldn't have mattered if I had noticed he was acting out from illness. His behavior was so bizarre......it wasn't the man I loved and he actually got scary at times. He was so darn stubborn, had he not been rendered helpless and incapable of helping himself, who knows what he would have done!
He was loved by all of us but he put tremendous strain on the ones who loved him the very most!!!!

I still talk to my mom, and she's been gone 21 years now.
So no, you're not crazy. And I think it's sweet that you take his picture to work with you.
so don't worry, you are not crazy, just in love and miss your other half.
it's a tough life without our loved ones.
I wish you the best.
