A Monday was the last day I saw my husband conscious...I keep thinking one day Monday will come without remembering that but so far it hasn' I dread Mondays!

Sundays are bad for me. Every Sunday I would make a big breakfast and we would just lounge around the house. Wayne was a big Nascar fan and I gradually became one too. I used to ask him what was so exciting about people driving around in a circle? But on Sunday we would watch the race and cheer our drivers on exchanging friendly banter about whose driver was the best. Those were great times. Now I can't bring myself to watch a race and find Sundays very lonely.

Sundays are my bad. Wherever we were we always tried to be home on Sundays by six. We would unwind from the weekend activities, no company, put on our comfy clothes, BBQ up some dinner and settle in to watch some TV together. Last night I was sitting in my usual place on the sofa, the Amazing Race was just about to come on. I looked over at the empty recliner, my heart fell and I was in tears, even writting this I am tearing. He wasn't there.
I can cope and tackle so many things, difficult things, financial things, big decision things but it is the little things that break me. The smoke detector was making that occassional beep when you need to change the battery, the toilet is running and the insides need to be replaced, these get to me.

For me it's Friday and Saturday. I think of all those couples out there and I'm not among them. I'm working on getting past this, but Monday is a breath of fresh air to me.

My worst times are Saturday & Sunday, don't know why because he always worked both days, just knowing after 22 months he is not coming home....

My worse days are Sundays -- that was John and my rest day especially during football season. I do fine Monday through Friday working, Saturday doing errands and cleaning; but come Sunday, I fall apart. I find myself every Sunday night in tears. Hopefully that will pass as well. Best, Jude

Fridays are my doomsday continued on through a long missing him weekend. Judy

So far it has been Monday. He left me on a Monday and that is like a little anniversary of him leaving. There is usually someone popping in on the weekends and my daughter comes home every weekend from college. Monday Evenings after work are the worse. Nothing to come home to. An empty house full of sorrow. Not sure how I manage to make it home.

Mine is Friday night- I always get excited for the weekend (instict I guess) and then when I get home, I deflate.

For me it's Sundays. I come home from work tired to an empty house and that's all it takes. I crawl in bed and stay there. Me and the Kleenex box. Hugs, Kathy

Sundays are the worst for me. It was always the day that Mark went out and brought breakfast home. We'd eat together and then go to the grocery store. We'd come home from the store in time to get comfy and watch football on Sunday afternoon. It was just our day together.......to just be together. We were always together, but I guess Sunday was just more special - and it makes me miss him so much.

Because of my husband's work schedule, Monday was our Sunday. We'd take that day and go out to eat, shopping, doing things together around the house, and watch Netflix movies. I usually don't do anything on Monday except hang around the house and piddle. I don't watch movies anymore except on TV. Just don't want to without him. There is no normal anymore and I fight the loneliness. I try to do things around the house everyday so I can feel some sense of accomplishment. Trying to learn some of those maintenance things, ugh. My cats are my company except when the grandchildren are here. I can say I've made a lot of progress though from the early days. Take care, Sandra
