This Christmas I don't even feel like pretending that I am going to enjoy Christmas. Last year I had to put on a face for the children and grandchildren. I know it's Jesus's Birthday. I think Jesus will understand. Just isn't the same without Denny here.
Sorry....looking like it will be another UnChristmas for me this year. I don't even have Unplans for this Unchristmas. I guess kids and grandkids over...those that will actually come..only two came for Thanksgiving. Two are still mad at me.
I just am having a hard time getting some oomph around the day that used to be so fun as we did all the buying, decorating, picking the tree, bringing the boxes up from the basement, wrapping the gifts, taking them out..setting them up...together. We even taped the packages together. I wrapped and he taped. I can see his hand reaching over with the tape and missing the spot all together and us laughing in spite of ourselves. He was so proud as I produced the gift and he went and searched for and found "just the right size box" every time. It was such a team effort. Actually I picked the tree and he decorated it...so much better than me.
It will be an UnDay for me...that's for sure!
hugs..

I'm sorry, I'm not being very helpful, but I just can't face it without David. Christmas will come and go. And I will enjoy my family, but once back home again, the sadness will spill out.
Christmas is going to be hard, but ya know if it weren't for Christmas we would have no real hope.
Sorry I don't usually say much and now I've written a mini novel
