Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
As I said on several posts... The worst thing that I can ever imagine happening has already happened. I'M GOING TO VEGAS!!!!
Can't wait to meet all these wonderful people. We have a common bond that I don't have here at home.
We'll have a ball!
Vegas will never be the same.
Hugs,
Vicki
The fact that I open my IPad and go this site the very first thing every morning means I need this community. I don't want to miss the chance to meet my DS friends. We have traveled together this road, I needed you then, and I still need you now.
Today i will be searching best airfares and lodging. I keep my fingers crossed.
Hugs!
Vicki
it will be wonderful to meet you! I also didn't want to miss this opportunity to meet others here in person. I hope anyone who is trying to decide will jump into the "Vegas pool". I don't even like to gamble, haven't met anyone here in person, nor on the phone. It's a little scary, but look what we've been dealing with-----we can handle it!!!
Hugs, Sal
I am just looking forward to meeting each one of you and doing real live hugs!
I haven't made my reservations yet, but I will be there.
Gonna be great!!
Linda
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, having some good clean fun, laughing, crying, sharing and hopefully making life long friends in the process.
I'm so proud of all of you, that have never traveled alone before. I used to travel for work, so I'm used to it.
So, anyone that has half a thought of going, come on and join us!!
Paula
Then when I was 22 I took a train from Chgo to Loredo, Texas alone, then got on a 36 hour Mexican bus that went thru the mountains of Mexico to Mazatlan. I was the only American on the bus and every few hours men with rifles got on and insisted on my taking my large suitcase down from the top (no one ever helped). The bus was going about 60 mph along huge mts with no guardrail all because I didn't want to get on a plane.
So glad I took that trip - I think I used to be too naive to realize what I was doing. Any one thinking and not sure - the anticipation alone will be helpful - and as every has said - lifelong friends too.
And I can't think of a BETTER way to spend it than with 'family"!!!
I can'5t wait to meet everyone, give you all BIG HUGS and THANK YOU for being YOU all!
YES please anyone who is on the fence about this, know that we all will be there for one another the same way we are here. you are not alone. You are with 'family" who cares!!
Come join us!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
