Yeah, so far two big thumbs down! The feedback period was a joke, they improved almost nothing. . .It is a question of someone decided they wanted to spend some money, and then hiring some 'arty' person to 'make it pretty' with total disreguard for the practical use of it!

I came back today to see how the site was doing and I actually didn't have to put in a new password, I was getting tired of making a new one. And a few of my old messages showed up. I really like it here and the people because you all understand what I am going thur :( so I'm trying to just hang in here for awhile ...maybe we will adjust. As someone said we have been thur the major change and that's loosing our loved one :(

i've tried posting three times and my message doesn't go through. hate this new DS and miss the old.

I think it is okay. we just need time to get used to it. We have all been through so much change that this is just one more burden

I hate this format. It was so easy to look at topics before and post a comment. Add or send a message to a friend. I sure wish I could find a group of real widows and widowers here in Ohio. I will most likely be leaving this site. pj1952

I'm undecided as to whether I'll stay with the revamped DS. I'll see if it improves. I'm just so glad that it wasn't this format when I was in the early months of my widowhood. I wouldn't have had the energy or focus to try and find my way through (and wouldn't have been able to receive the hugs from people who cared but were not yet friends - these meant so much when I was in such raw pain and feeling so alone)

I also am in the dislike category on this new style. Before we had a place that we felt safe and that we knew. This is now like all other things in my life messed up and unrecognizable and I don't need another thing to navigate. I miss the easy check in I could do on everyone without having to search forever.

The Community Leaders are equally upset, and we've got a few extra layers of upset that pertain to the CLs, which I won't go into. We are still trying to work through this with the DS staff to see if we can somehow save what was good and beneficial for all concerned. Believe me, I hear you, as we're all saying the same things. I am extremely upset, but don't want to throw in the towel just yet. The original DS was how I survived the unsurvivable - losing my husband - and DS was integral to me rebuilding my new life. I even met my new husband here, who happens to also be a CL. You can imagine what the mood here at home has been with all these massive site problems!! And, yes, it took days to sort out simply being able to get on the new site. I am hoping that this week we will hear something more constructive and positive from DS and the developers. We've been told they are going to hold a conference call with the CLs, but I don't know when yet. Please hang on for a few more days at least. Love and Hugs as always, Martha

Glad I'm not the only one... I just came back here after a very long time and I find myself absolutely disgusted by how this site looks and operates now. I mean, barely anything even fits on the screen now compared to before... I have to scroll down a few screen heights distance to go through what used to fit neatly on a single screen. How is this better?!

Dailystrength, if you want this site to function better on mobile devices (which is perfectly fine), you should do what other sites do... continue to use a sensible layout for those of us using a computer, but have an alternate layout that uses an address like m.dailystrength.org that operates on a layout better suited to those devices. Forcing a mobile-style layout on computer users will just drive people away.

Martha, thanks for all you do. I'm in the dislike category too. Not even easily navigable on my iPhone. Hopefully some good changes on the way
