Like most of the folks here I had not touched any of Dianas clothes. The dresser, closet and shelves were just as they were when she passed away.
The first of the year I decided I wanted to make some progress and decided each month to clear a little more out. Some things were not hard at all but today I was going through her dresser of shirts and blouses, bagging them for donation. I found that with almost every shirt I could remember her wearing it, even associating it with a picture I had taken. It was a fairly emotional couple of hours, sometimes with me just sitting on the bed going through the memories holding a shirt to my face. In the end I stashed all the bags in the downstairs bedroom, not ready to take them to Goodwill yet. There was one thing though I couldnt part with, a ratty old flowered shirt that she always wore when she was painting (so as not to get any of her good clothes ruined). I have so many memories of her in that shirt that I am putting it back in my closet, I may keep it forever.

I applaud your efforts, however I have not moved any of my husband's clothing. My husband passed in Dec. 2010, and I have not been able to move any of his clothing. His pajamas and robe are still in his chair in our bedroom. I looked in his closet the other day and just stood there among his clothing. His shaving stuff and other toiletries are also where he left them. I just can not force myself to part with anything yet. One day I know I will have to but not today. There is one exception, my husband loved ties and had a large assortment. My son will be relocating in May and has told me, MOM pick out your favorite, because Dad taught me how to tie a tie and in my new job I have to wear a suit everyday. He is takijng the ties. I know his DAD is smiling, because boy oh boy do I remember those tie lessons.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
