Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I listened to the Tony Evans series about detours today and that brought my spirits up for the afternoon. It seems that everything that is going on in my life is closely addressed in the messages he gives. While I can see that this certainly was part of God's plan for my life, it is still hard to accept at times.
I got a bunch of work done around the house tonight, even with the kids here running around and I feel pretty good. I am hoping for a better day tomorrow. With time I hope I can climb out of this hole I am in. It just seems as though the smallest things throw me back into the pit as I am making some progress.
After l lost someone close to me, I was advised to get a planner just to help me get through the day. Bathed, check, ate, check... I really felt like I would never survive my loss. But as long as you are breathing you are a breath closer to some normalcy.
I would image everything seems difficult for you to get through right now. With three young children to take of your going to have to reach deep and find strength To give them the attention and care they need. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Friends and family will want to help, let them.
God bless,
