When I found DS it was like my feelings and emotions were validated as others that had walked this road or were walking it ACTUALLY understood what it is like.....
I hope you find the same help here as I have received...know that you no longer have to walk this journey alone. The people here will be there to pick you up when you falter or are having a bad day. Family and friends try to help but do not understand unless they have been here............hugs
I found this board after 3 1/2 months of desperately searching the web. My husband died on Valentine's Day this year from (inevitable) complications of COPD. I'm coming up on the 6-month mark and still feel like a yoyo.
Squeeze into the circle and join us as we lean, cry, sob, scream and support.
Hugs,
Terry
I hope you continue to find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone in how you feel.
hugs...

My husband Don died on October 5, 2011 of cancer. There was only 4 months from diagnosis to the end. I found DS the end of December 2011. My DS family has been there for me through the ups and downs of this grieving process. When no one in my "real" world understood there was always someone here to reassure me that I was "ok".
Welcome my friend,
Hugs,
Vicki
I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife. I lost my husband, Neil on August 6, 2011 to bile duct cancer. This site has been, and will continue to be a place where comfort and acceptance can always be found...
yourself by coming on the main board, and reading the post.
I find that they have helped me a lot. I lost my husband 7 months
ago. I have met so many supportive friends on here, that truly
understand what I am going through. I know 24/7 I have someone
that is here for me, and here for you as well. I am sorry for our loss,
but thankful for DS. We are going through this together.
Hugs,
Deanna
That is how you all have made me feel. Thank you
Welcome. You've come to the right place. I found DS a few weeks after my husband died last October 1. It's been a true lifeline for me. Even if I don't post, I get great comfort in reading others' posts. Take advantage of the journal aspect of this site. Though I'm not a natural journaler, I found it helps to write things down and also to see the progress I've made in 10 months. Please come by often. It's all good!
Julie
