Just knowing that he was there for breakfast, that I could call him during the day while I was at work, that he would be there when I got home ... just his presence.
And some days it feels like he's been gone forever and other days it feels like yesterday.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Welcome to this site. You'll find compassionate, caring, understanding friends here.
Hugs,
Janie
We had an amazing marriage for over 35 years and the last few were very rough, both for he and for me. I'm deeply saddened for the way in which he passed. For his loss of his ability to walk and think and live. I cry for the loss of the years of love and devotion that we truly shared with one another.
I'm sorry for your loss and I totally understand how it can feel like it happened yesterday and then 100 years ago.
I wish you well.
Roz
We all share your sadness and I know for sure, there is an understanding here, that most friends don't have. Unless they have lost their beloved spouse.
Take care.....Sandra
Post when you want, read our comments, send personal messages. Whatever makes you most comfortable.
Message me anytime. I know you're in pain. I go through the pain and tears each morning, night and at least one or two times during the day. And I am on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds.
I wish you good dreams and comfort to your heart and soul.
take care.
I am so sorry to read of the loss of your husband, but I have to echo what others here have said: you have come to the right place for patience, understanding, and encouragement. Everyone here has truly felt what you are feeling. I would have never made it without the compassion of the friends I have met here.
Wishing you peace . . .
