"Hey, honey!" would greet me, every evening, after work.
Not anymore...
Just coming on this site and reading what others are feeling and going was such a help. It let me know that I was as normal as I could be under the circumstances.
There is always someone here who can identify with what you are going through. Hugs to you, Norma
Last Friday I had the first morning I did not wake up in tears....that lasted about a week, and now I am back to square one. The pain just physically hurts. Family does not understand....just get out of the house they say....do they really think that is going to make it better!!! I get so angry.
It's been almost 3 years for me. Two days ago, I decided to go to the restaurant where we would frequently get some comfort food. The waitress immediately said out loud what I would ordered. Wow she remembered after 3 years. I also ordered the favorite dish to go that my husband loved. When my dish came, my stomach just cramped up and I couldn't really eat, just the feeling I had when I got the news that my husband had passed away. Some situation still triggers that hurt and lost feeling. It will get better as time goes by. Take care.
