N - Mine is a she. She has been physically abusive in the past. Now she doesn't need to be because I'm already so controlled, afraid and manipulated. Its sad really. I wouldn't call myself lucky. I JUST figured out that she won't LET me end it verbally. So I have to change my plan and start finding ways to kind of get her to I've up on me…..she has found another target but hasn't committed to her yet. Im praying that she gets fed up with me enough that she feels she can't tolerate anymore and turns her FULL attention elsewhere….until then I'm going to pretty much just become intolerable. Im not sure if that will just give her more things to complain about for longer. I guess the other option is to essentially 'disappear' from her life by taking the option of changing my number, closing my email, (i can't stand the thought of moving again but i guess i would if i had to) and maybe even change my name just to really protect myself.

We'll see i guess.

Any advice on how to get a relentless sociopath to just give up and leave you alone?? Is this wishful thinking??

Well what I di last year was to not and never answered to my P. I admit that he was keep going on and on until I answered. But I think the only way is just to never reply in any way. It takes a lot of strength .

2 times here... I learned my lesson. There is no baby in that bathwater. I've learned what I needed to from that last go round, I got it, time to move on.

I've looked past several 'pity play' moves on her part in the past year and a half. She accused someone of rape once, I ignored the call, several 'I just needed to hear a familiar voice' (glad to know I've got such good qualities like "familiarity" to put on my resume! LOL!), oh and she called me out a few times, accusing me of hacking her accounts ( I got very good at snooping when I NEEDED to know, haven't needed to in a long time, even if she doesn't know... in my book, that still qualifies as breaking NC), she accused me of calling people I don't know in a town I've been to once to (I suppose she meant) warn someone about her, I admit that one was crafty). This fish kept swimming. 10 years is more than enough to give such a beast. I'll never be fully rid of her, there's countless copies of a video that we're in for our get-back-together (late night infomercial), where she even got to say, "if it weren't for his transformation, we wouldn't get back together." HA!!! What utter BS! and it happened right underneath my nose! My rope is long, but I found the end and tied a big old knot.

Beautiful, Chris. She got to smear you publicly and forever. Mine gives talks to women about how to avoid letting an abusive husband turn you to doing drugs. Exactly 180 degrees wrong in classic S style. She was doing drugs long before I met her and she does them for excitement-- I was devoted to her and not abusive--she was physically and verbally violent to me throughout.

why cant you see how woman can be physically abusive? men may be stronger but women can be insanely abusive.

i went back many times when i shouldnt have because i was addicted to him.

I'm back with my P/S. We were back together for about 1 month when he started his old tricks of manipulating and deceiving. We had a big fight and I put all the cards on the table. I told him he was a Sociopath and asked him if he knew what that was? He did not. I explained what it was. The reaction is not what I expected. It was like a light bulb lit up in his head. He became silent. Then he said "that would explain allot". We have a huge age difference , I'm 34 years older. We have no mutual friends so it's easy for him to deceive me. However since our "talk" he's been very good, I don't perceive him as "manipulating and deceptive". I don't think it will last , but I'm trying to be positive. He has a great job now and seems to have mellowed a bit. Time will tell:)

they dont change , maybe if he doesnt seem manipulating and deceptive he is not a sociopath , just a jerk. those are pretty classic traits of a sociopath. watch your heart johnny.
