so your saying our government should take on more employees? what about deficit spending that is rampant now? the government needs to cut the spending that is what needs to happen...

I know of one place money could be saved! In order to get my worthless degree in a feild with zero job opportunities I was eligible for student grants and loans through the federal government. The "private junior college" I attended to had 152 graduates who paid $26,000 per student most of whom are low income and qualified for federal grants and loans. Do the math. 3,952,000 bucks for one very small campus in Northern California. My school has 2 graduations per year with at least 5 campuses in CA, add on Heald, Pheonix, Chapman University, 3.9 million x how much all in Federal grants to schools teaching people stuff they can't USE in the job market. Now me and my fellow graduates have education, but no means to pay it back! So the Federal Government loses all of that money, the job market gets more crowded because low income jobs such as McDonalds and Walmart now wont hire me because I am over-qualified. What are we doing to ourselves? The government needs to stop giving furloughs and start creating government jobs for citizens, stop funding for education that doesn't matter! Get rid of work Visa's until our own citizens have work, and ban outsourcing. Force the companies back onto our soil to make products and sell products. Make the first painful steps of spending money on current jobs to make money on more jobs later. More jobs = more spending. It is so strait forward it's painful!

What I am saying is that a certain amount of deficit spending is part of the American fabric,,,why don't you read some history...you have a choice either have these people work in Government developed jobs and then be paying taxes or have them homeless and getting poor support on a governemnt dole,,there is no third choice,,

We seem to have plenty of cash to fund war and other useless endeavors. Perhaps if we had not spent trillion or billions or whatever it is in Afghanistan and Iraq, we might not have such problems..

Yes, we need to make our own stuff too. I buy little of anything anymore bc nothing is made in the USA.

My grandfather got a good job from the WPA in the 30s and that led to a better standard of living for his family. Some govt programs can work! Dc

i so agree!! the gov makes the most jobs and the extreme right and conservative parties are what got us into this mess so i wish he (OBAMA) would just abandon their ideals. there is no reasoning with those people. they are destroying america.
